Joy of Giving….

Center for Youth Development (CFYD) is an American non-profit organization that, for the mutual benefit of America, CIS(Commonwealth of Independent States) and Eastern Europe, assists in the revival of economy and cultural heritage by sending non-monetary aid.

The CIS has a wealth of natural resources, a well-educated population and a diverse industrial base. However, it continues to experience formidable difficulties in moving from its old centrally planned economy to a modern, market economy. With the fall of communism, the economy has undergone deep changes and is unable to provide a sufficient standard of living for all of its citizens. Much of the population needs food, clothing, medicine and consumer goods. CIS republics do not have the updated technology needed to develop and use all of their resources. The lack of technology has had a negative effect on the health of millions of people; life expectancy has decreased, social instability and political tension in the country are on the rise. CFYD’s goal is to change this downward trend by assisting the CIS in its development.

We collect medical supplies and equipment, food, clothing, toys, personal care items, office and industrial equipment, etc. and send it to people in need.

Our goal is to assist in the economic development of the CIS and Eastern Europe, which are temporarily in dire straits, by donating humanitarian and technical aid (medical supplies and tools, pharmaceutical supplies and provision, food, clothes and household items, office equipment, food processing machinery, kitchen equipment, etc.) All assistance is shipped to  non-profit organizations, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, homes for the disabled, orphanages, churches, etc. We have affiliates and representatives in number cities of the C.I.S.Our representatives will ensure that every donated item goes to its assigned destination. They will take care of customs and international rules as well as provide contacts with domestic government officials.

Our services enable inspired people to contribute in meaningful ways to the world around them. Together, we hope to “be the change we wish to see in the world.”
